Booking…

We highly encourage and suggest our guests to book their travel itineraries at least 6 months in advance to get optimal flight options and the best possible flight rates. Ticketing for December 2024 is now open and available for booking. There are several airlines that offer non -stop flights to and from Venice, Italy.

For guests traveling outside of the U.S. we highly encourage and suggest using a Star Alliance Partner Airline that offer direct flights to and from Venice, Italy Marco Polo Airport (VCE)

We stress the importance of planning ahead of time, due to flight delays and or cancellations. To avoid any hassle and or frustration, please arrive at least a day before our wedding weekend celebrations and activities begin


Traveling By Plane

Traveling to and from Venice by plane offers convenience and efficiency, with Venice Marco Polo Airport being the primary airport serving the city. Here's a guide on how to travel to and from Venice by plane:

Arrival at Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE):

Venice Marco Polo Airport is located on the mainland, about 8 kilometers (5 miles) north of Venice.

Upon arrival, you can proceed to the terminal building to collect your luggage and go through customs if necessary.

Transportation Options to Venice:

Water Taxi: For a unique and scenic arrival in Venice, consider taking a water taxi directly from the airport to your destination in the city. Water taxis are available outside the airport terminal.

Alilaguna Water Bus: Alilaguna water buses operate regular services between Venice Marco Polo Airport and various stops in the city, including San Marco and Rialto.

Bus: The ACTV bus service (line 5) operates between the airport and Piazzale Roma, the main transportation hub in Venice. From there, you can continue your journey by vaporetto (water bus) or on foot.



Traveling By Train

Traveling to and from Venice by train is a popular and convenient option, offering scenic views and efficient connections to various destinations. Here's a guide on how to travel to and from Venice by train:

From Other Italian Cities:

High-speed trains (Frecciarossa, Frecciargento, etc.) operated by Trenitalia connect Venice with major Italian cities like Rome, Florence, Milan, and Naples.

EuroCity (EC) trains and InterCity (IC) trains also provide connections to Venice from various cities within Italy.

From Other European Cities:

International trains like Thello, ÖBB Nightjet, and EuroCity (EC) connect Venice with cities in neighboring countries such as Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and France.

Arrival Station:

Trains typically arrive at Venezia Santa Lucia Train Station, located in the historic center of Venice. This station is situated along the Grand Canal and provides easy access to the city's attractions.

Traveling By Car

Traveling to and from Venice by car can be a bit different due to the unique geography of the city. Here's a guide on how to navigate driving to and from Venice:

Parking Outside the City:

Venice is a pedestrian-friendly city with limited car access. Visitors usually park their cars in parking areas outside the city and then use public transportation or walk to reach their accommodation.

Piazzale Roma is the main terminal for cars and buses entering Venice. There are several parking garages here where you can leave your car.

Via the Ponte della Libertà:

The Ponte della Libertà (Liberty Bridge) is the main bridge connecting Venice to the mainland. It's a long causeway that crosses the lagoon and leads directly to Piazzale Roma.

From there, you can proceed to park your car in one of the parking garages.
